जैन धर्म एक प्राचिन धर्म जैन धर्म  हा जगातील एक प्रमुख धर्म आहे. हा प्राचीन भारतीय धर्म असून त्याचे पुनरुज्जीवन या युगात प्रथम तीर्थंकर श्री रिषभदेवांनी केले. लोकसंख्येच्या दृष्टीने हा भारतातील सहाव्या क्रमांकाचा धर्म आहे. हा धर्म वैदिक परंपरेनरूप व वैदिक परंपरेसारखा प्राचीन आहे. हा धर्म वैदिक परंपरेतून उदयाला आलेला असून तो एक स्वतंत्र धर्म मानला जातो. अतिप्राचीन धर्म असलेला जैन धर्म हा लोकशाही विचार मूल्य असलेला भारतातील महत्त्वाचा धर्म आहे. या धर्माने समता, स्वातंत्र्य आणि न्याय या विचारांचा पुरस्कार केलेला आहे.
